How it started

Born out of a spreadsheet problem

Most time-off tools are built for HR departments at companies with hundreds of employees — full of features no small office will ever use, priced per seat, and painful to set up.

We were running a small team and managing time off through a shared Google Sheet and a "just send me an email" policy. It worked — until it didn't. Conflicts got missed. Balances were wrong. Nobody knew who was off without asking three people first.
